I rolled up to this classic roadside burger shack, and the smell of sizzling beef on the flat top had me drooling before I even touched the menu.
I didn’t mess around—I went straight for the Triple Pattie Burger, because if you’re gonna do it, do it big. This thing was a greasy, glorious tower of beef, cheese, and flavor.
Each patty was smashed to crispy-edged perfection, stacked high, dripping with melted cheese and all the fixings. It’s the kind of burger that makes you forget how to talk for a second.
Then came the cheesy fries. Not your average nacho mess—these were fresh-cut fries, golden and crispy, absolutely drowned in gooey, melty cheese.
I don’t know what kind of cheddar wizardry they’re working with back there, but it’s addictive. I approve. They remind me of the kinda cheesy fries I made growing up in my mom’s restaurant.
And just when I thought I was tapping out, I made room for the real MVP: the fresh baked Snicker doodle cookies. Still warm, soft in the middle, with just enough cinnamon sugar crust on the outside to make your grandma jealous.
Bring napkins, your appetite and some patience, cause everything is made fresh, your looking at a 15-25 mins wait from order to pickup.

Taqueria El Vago: Wichita Taco Fest Preview

I had to stop in and visit Taqueria El vago when I heard they’d be at Wichita Taco Fest this year.
This is actually one of my favorite parts of town to find food. With the OG Truck opening on 25th and Arkansas, I come to this area often for some good eats. They also opened a second location at the Boot Barn on Kellogg and Dugan road.
I normally get their quesadillas and Nachos but it’s TACO WEEK, so I tried each of their tacos. The Carnitas is out of this world, and Lengua was a close second.
They’ll be keeping the menu real simple at Taco Fest, serving only Tacos and only 4 meats, which is still plenty to choose from
On the menu will be
ASADA🐄
POLLO🐔
AL PASTOR🐷
CARNITAS ❤️🐖
Still time to get your tickets and have some tacos!

People are always asking me, “Tony, where can I find the best Burger in Wichita.” I don’t know, and my name is not Tony, it’s Eli. But I can tell you where to find the best Tacos in Oklahoma.

I went down to OKC to celebrate the Oklahoma City Thunder 2025 NBA Finals Championship Parade (imma say the whole thing everytime 😁)
So when my cousin asked me if I knew of any good places to eat nearby, I asked if he wanted some tacos.
Little did he know, these aren’t just Tacos, they’re THE BEST TACOS in the state of Oklahoma.
This is my third visit as Eli, and my first visit as Wichi.Taco
I grabbed 2 tacos and a burrito to-go.
The Rosarito is a Steak and Shrimp Taco with a dolllop of Guacamole and their sauce.
the second taco was a classic Steak Taco.
Want to be very clear, they tacos are HUGE. I barley finished both. They’re very filling!
Later that night I split the burrito with @lisa.lifestyle.ict and each half was plenty fo us.
The California Burrito filled with steak, potatoes, pico, guacamole, and cheese.
Also want to stress, this place isn’t small, maybe could fit about 65+ people at a time. The entire time we were there, it was packed! And the service we received was exceptional too.
I can’t wait to go back. Because I will be back.

El Gusto ICT does not mess around when it comes to tacos.

I’ve been making the rounds ahead of Wichita Taco Fest , and El Gusto Mexican Eatery instantly jumped to the top of my list.
I already knew their burritos and quesadillas were fire—but these tacos? Next level 🥹
Easily some of the best I’ve ever had. Follow them now and make sure you hit their truck at Taco Fest this year.
Wouldn’t be surprised if they take home “Best Taco” this time around.

Artichoke Sandwichbar East: Famously #8, Full of Flavor

If there’s a sandwich that could make you switch up your food tour—The Famous #8 might just be it. Powerful classics + new hits = a taste explosion every time.

📍 2959 N Rock Rd, Wichita, KS 67226 (Artichoke Sandwich Bar)
🕒 Mon-Thur: 11 AM-11 PM • Fri-Sat: 11 AM-12 AM • Sunday: Closed (Visit Wichita)

I showed up hungry and walked away impressed. I had to get The Famous #8 (turkey, bacon, Swiss, cream cheese, lettuce, tomato, grilled onion hoagie, Italian dressing & parm)—because some things are sacred. Then I tried the Seester: pastrami, crispy bacon, Swiss, cream cheese, spicy jalapeños, and tangy mustard. It was good—but next to the standard set by The Famous #8? It didn’t beat it, though it had its moments.

The vibe inside Artichoke East is cozy but lively, full of sandwich lovers and folks just out for deliciousness. Oh, and their drink Ernie’s Favorite? Spot on.

👉 Thanks for the visit, and let me know what you would like to see next.

Raha Mediterranean Grand Opening June 6th!

4956 E 35th St N suite b,
Wichita, KS
@lisa.lifestyle.ict and I arrived early to check out the space. This is my second experience. It was nice to see RAHA fully realized.
The great thing is that it’s directly connected to Tap N Paddles giving pickleball enthusiasts a healthy and delicious option for dinner and lunch.
We shared their hummus which was divine, the chimichurri was a nice touch with that smoked brisket.
The drinks were great too. I felt like they nailed the espresso martini. Everyone’s taste is a little different. When I have a cocktail, I best describe the way I want it to taste it as wanting to be in the room with alcohol, but not having a full conversation.
Lisa on the other hand wants to have a full on love affair with it, after all she does prefer her wine dryer than bone. Which is great cause they have a fantastic selection of red and white wines to pair with each dish.
The entries came out and they taste as good as they look. I enjoyed my lamb shank, but if I’m honest, I just kept wanting to have another bite of the pomegranate fried chicken. So much to where I had to be batted away. One of the best prices I’ve had. I wish there was a bit of spiciness to it to balance those pomegranate pops of sweetness. But overall a great experience.
The portions were generous, so we didn’t stay for dessert, but what I eyed at other tables looked marvelous.
